Here is a major roundup of iPhone related problems which has been submitted through the iPhone complaint form:
Hi dear fellow iphoners! Now, i have since 1or 2 months my iphone 3g, latest software etc etc. But, there are still some small anoying things that makes me loose my face wenn i finally find someone who fancies it. Youknow right, you want to explain the gadgets, end oeps it doesn’t work or it shuts down automaticly. For instance, Fring, very good tought, nice idea, if it would work continues. Like the other day, i made a phonecal with my skypeout, in a few minutes it just hangs up, you can’t call again for hours, and dammed to sit back at your computer in the office in stead of smokig your cigarette on the balkoney of the office… and in this case you can’t blame skype, absolutely not! other example, software like : nightcamerea (bullsh**, it’s just the same as the standart), games like Simcity!! (i paid i think about 7€ or 9€) and until today i am not been able to finish even the underground of one small city!!!! this is incredible, pay more then 500€ for the phone allmost 10€ for the game and it doesn’t work, very very dissapointing. And the, other games free or not free (brainchllenge, chess and backgammon, pac-man, tetris etc etc.. sometimes, if the phone feels himself well you can play for a half hour without interruption, but many times it just doesnt feel like to let you enjoy the game. Other software like visuaradio, translators, chinese translators etc. if you try to find something, you just risk that he can fall out just like that! Even visiting the appstore, or using mail or safari… it’s just too pity… For the rest is everything ok
just kidding, i must be honest, for the mmoments that it works, it’s just a supertoy, nice and beautiful and usefull, but the times that it doesn’t work you just feel like driving with a forklift over it! anyway, otehr things like ipod and small memorystorage do not bother me that much, it would be nicer to be able to listen to normal Mp3 but ok, i can live with that. Altough, there is just 1 thing, this is for music, pictures and movies –> You just cant erase it! you must connect to your pc and erase it from there.. .. .. Maybe some high asswh*l* from apple, sorry dude to call you this way but i feel robbed for something i can use just part-time, i appologize, but i hope somebody sees this from apple and makes urgent some upgrades on software, i am allready very glad if they just stop my phone from shuting down automaticly the bought applications! Thanks allready, greetings from this lonely Belgian Turk from China!
I agree with others’ post reguarding the picture messages and non private texts. Very dissapointed and suprised Apple has not made picture messages easy to view. Each Message Must be viewed via Internet with each message requiring user to flip back and fourth from Internet to message just in order to enter in passcodes! What a joke. It’s as though Apple/AT&T took five steps backwards in this area!!!
Whoo, this user has a complete roundup of iPhone complaints:
No mass storage, no mms, no flash and tied into itunes, some people like that but I hate it, I never use the program and I wish I had stuck with my n95… On top of all that mine had a dead pixel as well!
He would have rather stuck to the Nokia n95, what do you think? iPhone or Nokia n95?
This user reports that her husband found out about her secret party due to the issue that anybody can read new text messages on the iPhone:
I love my iphone. HOWEVER, there are two basic functions that this expensive luxury lacks, that my 8 year-old niece has on her phone. Texting pictures and text message privacy. The first is well documented so I won’t go there, but the second is just plain wrong. I have a password on my phone for a reason. If I wanted every Tom, Dick, and Harry to be privy to my text messages I would turn off the password function. But I don’t! It frosts my cookies that if I put the phone down and walk away, anybody and everybody can read any text message I receive right there on the front page!!! I am so PO’d about this!! My husband found out about his surprise party because of this stupid mistake! I couldn’t even get mad at him when he brought me the phone and said, “you got a text message about my party.” What the heck? This is basic! On my old $30 phone, you had to go through dang near 25 screens to get to text messages. AND IF MY PASSWORD WAS ON YOU COULDN’T GET PAST THE FIRST ONE! Sorry for the yelling, but I am really upset about this. Apple, I need you to do better.
This user reports and interesting idea: Everyone is trying to figure out how their iPhones work and thus they cannot get any “real” work done:
I am on my 3rd or 4th phone. No wonder our economy is going down the tubes..everyone is trying to fix their iphone and cant get any work done. As I non phone genius I cant tell you why it broke. But if using a cell phone now requires the a genius status to operate it, Apple and our country is going backwards. I don’t have anymore time this morning to elaborate….Ive been f..cking with my Iphone all morning
Did you know that iPhones alarm clock CAN start ringing while you are enyojing a phone call?! Thats “impressive”.
I bet that is nice on your ears ![]()
I am on my 3rd replaced Iphone and I am counting down the days to the end of my contract. It drops calls daily, I have had an issue where my phone completely locked up. I took it to the apple store and they described the problem as a “complete hardware failure”. When I update my OS it kills some of my apps. I visited NYC and was in Manhattan and could not get a signal. The GPS is a joke in NYC. It was off on my location by several blocks.Overall: this phone sucks @$$.
This AT&T customer has a serious warning for all iPhone users:
WARNING!:!:!:!: I’ve now been a customer of at&t for a whopping 16 days. I’ve had more problems and issues than you can imagine. My recommendation to anyone thinking of purchasing an iphone would be to write apple and refuse to buy until they add competition to the service market. Bottom line - at&t has a monopoly and because of it have adopted a ” customers suck!” attitude. Purchase only if you’re willing to be treated like a piece of crap for the next two years.
I wonder what lead to this frustration…?
I bought an Iphone from a Rogers + store in Carfour Laval Mall in Laval QC. once opening it I disovered that there are three numbers that do not work. I asked the store within less than 10 minutes from the purchase to exchange it for me. Rudly, the guys said to me I can not do anything for you. You have to go to Apple store to deal with the problem. I refused and insisted on having the seller deal with it. He replyed , I will say that one more time to you , GO TO APPLE STORE. Went to apple store, the surprise is that they do not replace the I phone with a new phone, they do not carry new phones, they would replace the brand new phone with a refurbuished one. I returned back to the sales man, who knew that they will only offer me a refubished phone for the new one. upon starting to raise my voice to insist on having the defected phone returned or replaced, he calld the security for me. While waiting for the security toi show up. I asked him to show me on the contract , ewhere it is written that I am not allowed to return the product, if it is defected. Since he did not have the answer he nervousely accepted to return the phone and close my account. The lesson I learened, Rogeres has a poor customer service support, I could not even complain to anyone. Second, I phone is a big mistake, since you can not replace it and if they replac4ed it it would be for a refurbished one not a brand new as you bought it.
