iPhone trouble in Australia

Tuesday 24 March 2009 @ 1:00 pm

Here is a comment from an Australian reader which involves a broken iPhone where it was impossible to open the SIM card slot:

Upgraded to mobile phone plan with Optus (in Australia) which involved also getting a new iPhone.

The new iPhone SIM card slot didn’t work, it could not be opened to insert the SIM card.

Returned to the store and they refused to replace the handset, additionally after selling a defective product they refused a full refund. The only thing they offered was to return the iPhone to some group called “boomerang”, to possible repair/what-ever.

Delayed messages on the iPhone

Monday 23 March 2009 @ 2:00 am

This reader reports about delayed messages on the iPhone:

I have HAD IT WITH APPLE!!! I have had all sorts of problems with my iPhone, the most recent being that I’m not receiving most of my texts, calls or voicemails until minutes to hours after they were placed. I spent weeks on the phone trying to troubleshoot with the “Genius” staff at Apple, and that’s the biggest joke I’ve EVER heard. They were USELESS! We have finally determined that it is indeed a problem with the phone itself, but Apple won’t do anything to fix the problem. Instead I’m being told my only option is to buy a new phone. I already foolishly invested $600 in this phone and can’t fathom the thought of blowing more money on the same piece of junk. Don’t get me wrong, there are numerous things I admire in this phone, but the fact that it wasn’t built to last more than a year is ridiculous!!! I’ve never dealt with such piss poor customer service in my life!

iPhone complaint from India

Wednesday 4 March 2009 @ 8:02 am

As we know Apple is selling the iPhone all over the world and naturally here come the first complaint from India:

I got my iphone 3G, 16GB in India in October 2008. Since then this is the 3rd time I had problem with it. The first 2 times it froze with a black screen, for which the iphone vendor sent it to Bangolore and got it fixed saying the problem was because of the old networking software.
This time it got froze on the screen which says “slide to answer”, while receiving the call. I really got fedup with this iphone. May be it would have been best to buy some local touch phones. Thinking as Apple’s brand and its standards, I got iphine. But VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!
