Is Verizon so much better than AT&T?

Thursday 30 April 2009 @ 12:52 am

This reader complains about the better network that Verizon offers compared o AT&T:

Everyone needs to inundate Apple with DEMANDS that they offer more than AT & T - go with Verizon - the phone is good but AT & T is REALLY BAD. Apple needs to hear from all of us!

What is you oppinion on this?

One more complaint from South Africa

Thursday 23 April 2009 @ 6:55 pm

Here is another comment on the iPhone from South Africa:

In September last year, when South Africa just introduced an iphone, I went to buy one. In March this year, the keypad was faulty and took the phone in for repairs. On receival of the phone, it had all the previous person’s contacts (pictures, home address’s etc), “to do list ” etc. I then contacted Vodacom for a refund and they refused me a refund but said they will replace it. I do not want a replacement but a refund so I can buy myself a phone I can in future trust. I can not even get a complaint site on Apple. I will NEVER EVER purchase an Apple Product, let alone use VODACOM. Vodacom claim it did a software upgrade which may have had “this persons” details, I am not even sure if that’s my phone.

User things of suing Apple for the iPhone

Thursday 23 April 2009 @ 12:51 pm

This user is so fed up with his phone that he actually things of suing Apple:

When I first bought the iphone, everything was great. Later, I’ve had more and more problems, its starting to drop phone calls, sometimes my phone goes out. When I hit the home button, the screen never changes, it just stays black. At times when I’m at home it won’t connect to the internet and sometimes it do. Also, at times when it connects to the internet, it is slow and sometimes it goes a little faster. Even when I’m in a 3G area i still can’t get the phone to do anything faster. I am totally disgusted with this phone as of right now and feel that actions need to take place in order to keep me from filing any type of suits. Thanks

Another major complaint from a frustrated iPhone user:

MY PROBLEMS WITH THE I-PHONE IS JUST AS THE FIRST TWO POST ON THIS WEB SITE.
THE PHONE IS 3 MONTHS OLD AND I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS SENCE DAY ONE. I DROVE 95 MILES ROUND TRIP TO THE I PHONE STORE. THEY UPDATED THE SOFTWARE AND SAID THAT IT WAS FIXED. SAME PROBLEMS PLUS THE PHONE WOULD NOT RING, I COULD NOT TALK, AND COULD NOT HEAR. THE PHONE HAS BEEN IN A LEATHER CASE, IN MY TOP POCKET, ON THE TABLE BY MY BED, OR ON THE CONSOLE OF MY TRUCK. NEVER BEEN NEAR WATER OR EVEN OUT OF THE CASE. GUESS WHAT? APPLE TOLD ME THAT THE PHONE HAD BEEN WET. NO CAN FIX. I HOPE THAT ENOUGH PEOPLE READ THESE WEBSITES TO UNDERSTAND HOW BADLY APPLE WILL SCREW YOU.

Submitted through the iPhone complaint form.

Overall frustration with the iPhone

Sunday 12 April 2009 @ 12:17 pm

Here is a comment from a very frustrated iPhone user who got the phone as a Christmas gift from her husband:

I totally hate this pos phone! My husband bought it as a Christmas gift for me, without my knowlege, and turned in my v3razr. The v3 was by far superior. This thing shuts off when it wants, sucks battery juice like crazy, you can’t send a photo in a text, you can’t video, can’t record sounds, can only get free ringtones from one site that I’ve found, or buy them from iTunes which costs for a membership AND each ringtone, apps cost as well, Internet costs me an extra 30$ per month, you have to nearly constantly get online updates, which, if your settings are on automatic, it wipes out all your ringtones, iPod music, and sometimes your contacts! The screen goes black but it’s still functioning but you. Can’t answer calls or get it to even turn off and reset! You have to buy it a ‘bubble wrap’ hard case, it gets incredibly hot in the hand, the ‘bubble pack case gets condensation inside from heat, it drops calls, refuses to call, rings only when it wants to ring, resets ringtones whenever it wants…omfg, if I could get my v3 back and get the cash for this pos I would never go back! I will NEVER buy another mac product! Trust me, save the money and misery and get the v3. I’m going back as soon as I can!

Water damage on the iPhone?

Thursday 9 April 2009 @ 12:56 am

This Apple iPhone customer complains that Apple says the phone has been damaged by water but he claims that it has never been near any water (it seems like he is very upset):

had iphone for 3 weeks. Nirvanna..or so i thought. Phone wouldnt charge..brought to Apple store…they looked at base connection…”no prob..can fix” 15 minutes and here it is…great!! NOT!! didnt fix prob.. back to apple store.. mgr looks ..takes in back room..returns says water damage we wont cover or give any credit..too bad….
u must be kidding. Is this SOP for Apple???This phone was nowhere near any H2O for all of the three weeks Iv had it. Appple offered to “let me buy another for the same cost of the one I bought. Who runs this co Idi Amin. What gall. This is the type of treatment third world leadership get hanged for. THey (APple) could care less about me, they alresdy got my cash.
I’m disgusted

I believe these cases are very hard to handle. What i would do is ask apple for some fairness and excahnge the phone, but be polite.

Lacking features of the iPhone

Monday 6 April 2009 @ 3:29 pm

This complaint comes from a user that wants a functional phone:

I purchased this phone because it was supposed to be functional. Where are the picture messaging, flash player, and (most important to me) java?

I wonder why some users don’t read the specs prior to purchasing a phone. Or is it just me?
